The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze

Witness more than 7,000 spooky, hand-carved pumpkins illuminate the grounds at the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze at the historic Van Cortlandt Manor in Westchester County.

The tri-state area’s biggest, most electrifying fall event returns with more pumpkins than ever before! Meander along the Pumpkin Promenade on the grounds of this historic, 18th-century riverside estate in Croton-on-Hudson and take in the breathtaking jack o’lantern displays—all designed and hand-carved on-site by the Historic Hudson Valley team of artisans.

Meet life-sized dinosaurs, gaze at the stars at the Pumpkin Planetarium and try not to get stuck in the 24-foot spiderweb. New at the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze in 2024: celebrate the 20th anniversary of this spooktacular event with a giant birthday cake and celebration arch, enjoy a new VIP experience on the pumpkin trail with the Gourd and Goblet Tavern, and look out for the giant Kraken rising from the Croton River! The Gourd & Goblet Tavern is a special speakeasy set in an 18th-century inn along the pumpkin trail with drinks and brews and special treats.

Taste some delicious fall-themed sweets and snacks at Cafe Blaze and shop souvenirs and local finds to mark your trip at the Blaze Boo-tique.

The event will be viewable for select dates during the week and on weekends. This year’s event dates are September 16-18, 22-25, 28-30, October 1-31, November 2-6, 9-13, and 18-20 at varying times each night.
