Albany Symphony Orchestra

The Albany Symphony is a Grammy Award-winning, full-size, professional orchestra, featuring world-famous musicians that perform in Albany and Troy.

As the only professional symphony orchestra based within the Capital Region, the Albany Symphony enriches a broad and diverse regional community, engaging over 150,000 people each year across an extended geographical area.

As one of Albany’s most revered music and cultural institutions, the Albany Symphony has won numerous national awards for its adventurous concert programming, recording projects, composer residencies, and innovative educational efforts involving area schools throughout the region.

2019-20 Season

A new season featuring women in music, encounters with thrilling new music, and masterworks that have withstood the test of time.

Highlights include: Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2, Mozart’s “Linz” Symphony, and Beethoven’s Eighth, plus the Albany Symphony’s exciting reveal of new American classics and a weekend-long festival celebrating the creative genius of Clara Schumann. Student Access

Students can purchase $15.00 rush tickets for select concerts up to 3 days before the concert in person, online or by calling the box office. Student Rush tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis and subject to availability.
